How do I set it up? Download the CabFare app and complete the online account setup; it takes just a few minutes.

What payment methods are accepted? Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and contactless cards with NFC chips.

How do I provide a taxi receipt? Riders can scan a QR code for a digital receipt or you can email it to them via the CabFare app.

When will I be paid? When you set up your CabFare account, you chose a bank account for payouts. Payouts are made daily, 2 business days after each transaction.

How can I check transaction history or verify a transaction? In the CabFare app, select ‘Transactions’ from the bottom navigation menu to view and search your transaction history by amount, pickup, or drop-off location.

When is a customer prompted to enter a PIN?

  • Mastercard transactions: Over $100.

  • Other cards: Over $200. Note: Some issuers may require a PIN for transactions between $100-$200.

Is customer PIN entry secure? Yes, the app uses built-in security features of your device to protect business and customer data.

Does CabFare Tap to Pay support PIN-required transactions? Yes.

How do I enable accessibility options for PIN entry? On the PIN entry screen, tap ‘Accessibility Options’ to access features like tap counts for numbers and swipe gestures.

Will using the app affect my device’s battery life? No, it shouldn’t have a noticeable impact.

How can I identify a contactless payment card? Look for the EMV® Contactless Indicator on the card.

What if a contactless card isn’t being read? Ensure the card is properly aligned. Hold the card in place for 1-2 seconds to ensure a successful read.

Can I use multiple devices? Yes, a driver can use multiple devices as long as they use the same driver account to sign in.

Can I use CabFare Tap to Pay while offline? No, an active internet connection is required to process payments securely.

How do I check on my balance and payouts? To check your balance and payouts, go to https://connect.stripe.com/express_login and sign in with your email address. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your phone. Once logged in, see 'Payout details,' and your bank information.

How do I update my bank account details? To update your bank account details, go to https://connect.stripe.com/express_login and sign in with your email address. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your phone. Once logged in, click on the account icon, select 'Payout details,' and add or update your bank information.

What should I do if I lose my phone? If you lose your phone, get a new device, download the CabFare app, and sign in. Only the registered driver can access the app, keeping your account secure.

Are there any fees for using CabFare Tap to Pay? Service fees set by state regulations are applied to the fare value. CabFare pays out the fare value and may offer bonuses to drivers based on transaction volume or promotional campaigns.

Can multiple users share a single CabFare account? No, for security reasons, each driver must use their individual account for payment acceptance.

How do I use CabFare Tap to Pay on Android effectively? Tap the back of your Android where the purple circle indicates (usually located in the center or near the top of the back panel, location may vary by model). Hold the card in place for 1-2 seconds to ensure a successful read.

How can I view my transactions?

  • In the app: Tap 'Transactions' at the bottom of the home screen.

  • In a browser: Go to https://app.cabfare.com, sign in, and view your transactions.

Can I supply the CabFare Tap to Pay app to the drivers in my fleet? Yes, as a fleet owner, you can distribute the CabFare Tap to Pay app to your drivers. All driver transactions will be credited to your fleet account.

I accidentally selected “Hide My Email” when signing up for CabFare with Apple ID? To resolve this, remove the CabFare app from “Apps Using Apple ID” in your iPhone settings and sign in again with “Sign in with Apple,” selecting “Share My Email.” This ensures CabFare can create your account and process payments accurately.

What if a customer requests a refund? To initiate a refund, contact CabFare at support@cabfare.com with the transaction details. CabFare will process the refund and notify you upon completion.

Why isn’t my Android phone recognizing contactless cards? Ensure that NFC is enabled on your device by navigating to Settings, selecting Connected devices or Connections, and toggling on NFC. If the option isn’t available, your device likely does not support NFC and cannot be used for CabFare Tap to Pay.

How do I use CabFare Tap to Pay on iPhone effectively? To use CabFare Tap to Pay effectively on an iPhone, hold the contactless card near the top of your iPhone where the NFC sensor is located (look for the blue sparkles). Make sure the card is properly aligned and hold it in place for 1-2 seconds to ensure a successful read.
